Switch off your iPhone
- Before doing any repair, you must switch off your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. You should power off, simply hold down the power Buttons, until you see the slide to power off, and then proceed to next Procedure.
Remove Security Screw Both Side Of The Dock Connector:
- Two security screws are used to secure the screen to the frame side. It fully fitted each side of the Dock connector. You can use security screwdriver to remove them. Both are in the same size if you mix them.
Remove the Broken Display Assembly
- You can slightly place the suction cup above the Home Button assembly and secure the iPhone LCD Screen
- You can hold the iPhone in one hand, gently pull, and gently pull upwards on the suction cup until you free the bottom of the screen. You will be able to use your finger to slowly raise the screen. The front assembly connected to the logic board.
- Gently remove the four screws, hold down the shield that covers the display cables. These screws are different in sizes to make them organized properly, you can remember for the reassembly.
- Once all the screws are removed, carefully removed the shield and set it aside.
- Now, you can use your spudger tool to remove the three cables.
- The Display assembly is now free from the body of the phone. Go ahead and set everything.
You can use the suction cup if the screen the extremely joined up. You may not be able to get a firm grip with the suction cup. Carefully do your work around the bottom of the phone between the frame and display with the razor blade. It is highly recommended to use the plastic Razor if you can find them less abrasive.
Transfer the Home Button Assembly:
- Simply remove the two screw using your screwdriver on either side of the shield. When removing the shield. A flat plastic ensures the lifting it off rather than tear it off. Simply remove the home button and rubber gasket.
Transfer the earpiece and front-Facing Camera:
Remove the two screws holding the earpiece speaker and bracket in the top of the assembly.
Set the earpiece and bracket aside.
- Use the spudger tool to set the earpiece set, it simply loosens the right side of the cable from the front side of the display, don’t pull too hard. Just loosen at this point. Don’t scratch or damage the underside of the components the cable.
- Once the camera and shield free from the old assembly, transfer everything to the new assembly.
- You have gotten everything transferred from the old broken to the new one. Remove the broken display section in reverse order and attach a new display.
Now the display is back in a place, use the security screwdriver to replace two screws either side of the dock connector.
